Development and design
Each FGM model is designed by our team of engineers using a range of software that ensure the verification and optimization of the trailer structure and components. The distinctive design of FGM is the result of Italian multi-domain engineering (mechanical, electronic), know-how and cutting-edge technology.
Final Assembly
All the components necessary for the completion of the FGM trailer are prepared separately and moved to the production line where they are installed on the model. During this phase, axles, stickers, signs, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic components are installed on the trailer along with tires and lighting. As results, the overall testing begins.
Steel construction
In FGM main facility, we process steel sheets of different sizes and characteristics to obtain the full structure of our FGM models. Equipment involved in the production of FGM frames ranges from Laser and Plasma cutting machines, Bending machines, CNC milling machines to Welding Robots. By the end of this stage, the FGM frames are fully assembled and ready for hot-dip galvanizing or painting treatment.
Quality checks
FGM is structured on a continual improvement process and attentive R&D activities which are all supported by a progressive management style. The quality of our products is based on five major quality controls conducted throughout the production process, from the engineering stage to the final assembly.

Hot-dip galvanizing
Our uncompromising eye for detail translates into the use of the best technologies and processes for manufacturing premium vehicles. To guarantee a long-term protection of our semitrailers from corrosion and weathering, FGM relies on the most effective treatment available on the market: the hot-dip galvanization.
The process consists in the coating of FGM chassis with a layer of zinc. The immersion of the chassis in a bath of molten zinc, at 450 °C temperature, creates a metallurgically bonded coating which protects the trailer surface from harsh environments.

During this final stage, each of our trailers is road tested by our specialized team before being delivered to the customer.
A FAMILY BEHIND THE PRODUCT
Founded in 1964, as a family business, FGM was initially a secondary company of the Marcoccia family, owner of a MAN dealership and workshop, based in central Italy. At the time, the company was producing drawbar trailer and semitrailers for the transport of earth moving machinery. Starting from 1980s, the company began specializing in the production of low loaders designed for the transport of heavy vehicles such as tractor heads, broken semitrailers, buses and much more.
Moving forward to date, FGM is run by the third generation of the Marcoccia family with Manuel being the director.
The company draws from 60 years of experience in the development, production and sale of semitrailers to offer customers customized solutions to their transport need.
Located in Frosinone, central Italy, the company operates in an indoor area of 10.000 m2 for a total surface of 45.000 m2. Daily operations are carried out in two newly constructed production facilities: chassis construction and chassis assembly.
Over the years, FGM has initiated an investment plan to expand the production facilities and the range of cutting-edge equipment which all serve to maintain a premium standard of product and service.
Investments have increased production efficiency, shortened production time and reduced costs, enabling the company to reach enhanced competitiveness.
